Overview

We worked directly with Awarding body CABWI to design a solution that would streamline the certification process for its training centres.  With the current assessment systems being paper based and alternatives using web browsers, CABWI needed a specific solution that could be used in remote areas without internet for its training centres, that would also compete with other online systems available. 

Our solution was ‘Click Assessment’, a convenient app that could be in the pocket of every CABWI certified trainer and was quickly recognised as a finalist for innovation of the year in the FAB awards 2021. This app not only made assessments convenient, but also reduced the amount of administration, speeded up the certification process and saved costs.

App vs Browser

CABWI specialises in the water utilities industry. To allow for users that are not very technical, on sites or in remote locations without internet, click assessment needed to serve as an easier and more convenient option to training staff than navigating and logging into a cumbersome web portal. The solution was designed with these key features/benefits:

  • Designed for mobile devices, so no PC needed to run an assessment.

  • The user's details are stored allowing for quick access to assessments.

  • CABWI admin controls which centres access which assessments.

  • The app can be used without the internet.  

  • The results are submitted directly to CABWI.  

  • CABWI can add unlimited Assessments to the question bank.

  • Assessment results can easily be filtered and downloaded from the CABWI Admin Portal.

 
 
 
 

Portal

The click assessment portal gives CABWI staff the ability to create training centre accounts with a bespoke list of assessments specific to each account.  Using the available templates, CABWI users can upload an unlimited number of assessments and manage them on the portal.  The portal also gives access to all the results from training centres with an intuitive filtering system, allowing users to download batch summaries or full results in the form of a CSV file, ready for analytics and data management.
